This project aims to help parents and guardians teach children about the importance of saving money through an engaging children’s book. Drawing on research from MoneySmart.gov.au and the Department for Education (Australia), the book uses simple language and visual storytelling to make financial concepts easier for children to understand. The main characters are simplified, brightly coloured chickens inspired by research into “cuteness”, using features such as large eyes, round shapes and simplified forms to make them visually appealing and engaging for young readers.

Research
For my first week on this project, I went to look and compare different printing companies, different prices and different children's book sizes. This was where I concluded my book should be 6 x 9 inches for my established age group.
